Custom Pumping Unit Parts, Machined In-House

When a part for your unit isn’t on any shelf — because nobody makes it anymore — we machine it. Two HAAS CNC centers, run by our own machinists, turn out pinions, wrist-pins, and shafts to spec. It’s a capability almost no competitor in the Permian has.

Bring us the part or the spec. We’ll tell you if we can make it — usually, we can.

What We Make

Parts Made to Spec, in Our Own Shop

Most pumping unit shops send custom parts out — or tell you they can’t get them. We make them here. On two HAAS CNC centers, our machinists cut high-speed and intermediate pinions, wrist-pins, tail shafts, saddle shafts, and the miscellaneous parts a forty-year-old unit needs to keep running.

It’s the same in-house capability that lets us rebuild used units like new and turn repairs around without waiting on an outside supplier.

The Difference

A Capability Almost No Competitor Has

A real machine shop isn’t cheap or common. Our two HAAS centers are a two-million-dollar investment apiece — and the machinists who run them have years on the controls. That combination is rare in the Permian: most shops can sell you a part if they can find one, but they can’t make one. We can.

It’s why operators — and other shops — bring us the jobs nobody else will take. We stock parts first; if it’s not on the shelf, we machine it.

In-House Press Shop

Bearings Rebuilt In-House

Alongside the CNC work, our press shop rebuilds bearings in-house — another way we keep units running without waiting on an outside supplier. Rebuilt bearings go straight onto the shelf and into repairs, so the part’s ready the moment your unit needs it.

Older & Discontinued Units

Parts for Units the Manufacturer Forgot

Plenty of units still pumping in the Permian were built decades ago, and the companies that made their parts are long gone. When the manufacturer has moved on, the part doesn’t have to be a dead end. Bring us the worn part or the dimensions, and we’ll machine a replacement — so an old, reliable unit keeps earning instead of getting scrapped.

FAQ

Machine Shop — Common Questions

What parts can you machine?
High-speed and intermediate pinions up to size 320, wrist-pins, tail shafts, saddle shafts, and miscellaneous custom parts to spec.
Can you make a part for an older or discontinued unit?
Usually, yes — bring us the worn part or the spec and we’ll machine a replacement.
Do you machine gears?
No — we stock gears rather than cut them. For pinions, wrist-pins, and shafts, we machine to spec.
What machines do you run?
Two HAAS CNC centers, run by our own machinists.
Do other shops use your machine shop?
They do — when a competitor can’t make or find a part, they come to us.
Do you warranty machined parts?
Honestly, we’ve never had a machined part come back needing warranty work. Our machinists test everything before it leaves — if a part off the CNC isn’t right, it doesn’t go out.
